Dearest Daughters,
I highly urge you to (someday...a VERY long time from now) look for a husband who reminds you of your Daddy. It is my humble opinion as your mother that you should never settle for someone who doesn't do things for you such as this:
I find notes like these all the time, left in random and sometimes conspicuous places by your Dad. On my scale: a note to boost my self-confidence. In my make-up bag and on my iPad: encouragement and praise straight from the Scriptures.
Daughters. This is just a drop, the tiniest, most minuscule of drops, in the bucket of your Daddy's kindness, encouragement, selflessness, and general amazingness.
He is your road map to a Godly man.
Study up.
But not for 35 more years.

ReplyDeleteThis is awesome on so many levels. One, as Leanne said, that you honor him by being so appreciative of him and his thoughtfulness. Two, that he must have been raised by a great lady to know how to honor you so sweetly. Three, that he is just so dang creative. Four, that he IS modeling for your daughters what to expect in a young man. Love, love it!
